On 21 January 2016, the Federation of the Jewish Communities of Romania will organize a commemorative event marking 75 years since the Bucharest Pogrom, which took place between 21 and 23 of January 1941.
On 22 July, the President of Romania, Mr. Klaus Johannis signed decree no. 669/2015 which prohibits organizations and symbols with fascist, racist or xenophobic character and the promotion of persons guilty of crimes against peace and humanity.
On 8 October a commemorative ceremony was held to mark the "National Day of the Holocaust in Romania" at the Holocaust Memorial in Bucharest.
