On 4 April 2013 the “March of the Living” started its seven-day program in Lithuania.
As the Chair of the Task Force for International Cooperation on Holocaust Education, Remembrance, and Research (ITF), I join the Lithuanian Prime Minister in strongly condemning the vandalism of the memorial to the victims of Nazism at the Ninth Fort in Kaunas, Lithuania on 11 April.
On May 20th, 2011, The Jewish Tolerance Center and the Austrian Embassy in Vilnius, LIthuania organized an event to commemorate Anton Schmid, Righteous Among the Nations.
Lithuania has designated 23 September as National Memorial Day for the Genocide of the Lithuanian Jews.
The conference "Names Emerge from the Past" was held on 12 October 2011 at the Zemaite Theatre in Telsiai, Lithuania.

More than 80 Lithuanian schools commemorated International Holocaust Remembrance Day on 26-27 January with the "Butterfly Project."
