Slovakian Stamp Issued to Commemorate Victims of Holocaust

The Slovak post office is commemorating the memory of holocaust victims with a stamp to mark 75 years since the first deportation of Jews from Slovakia. An exhibition at the Postal Museum in Banská Bystrica is also being organized.
Litzmannstadt Ghetto Model

Today traces of the former Litzmannstadt Ghetto are still present in the city of Łódź, but not all inhabitants are aware of the history of the ghetto. In 2015, the Museum of Independence Traditions in Łódź undertook a project called "Litzmannstadt-Getto Model" to create a 3D representation of the area where the ghetto stood. The project is co-funded by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance as part of its grant programme.

Conference Report
Vilnius, 22 March 2017 - Speakers at the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance conference “As Mass Murder Began: Identifying and Remembering the Killing Sites of Summer-Fall 1941” stressed the importance of reflecting the full scope of experiences of those murdered during the Holocaust as well as the need for thoughtful and accurate marking, identification and commemoration of killing sites.
Roundtable on IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism

On 16 March a roundtable on the recently adopted IHRA working definition of antisemitism took place in the synagogue of Luxembourg, in the presence of about 80 participants. In attendance were several ambassadors and representatives from the embassies of Belgium, Germany, Poland and the UK, as well as the honorary consul of Israel.
Guatemalan Government to teach about Holocaust

Slovakia commemorates deportations

From 24-26 March 2017 the Slovak National Museum - Museum of Jewish Culture in Bratislava will hold a memorial event dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the departure of the first transport to leave Slovakia for the German Nazi Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and extermination camp.
