More than 1000 members of the general public attended the annual commemoration of the 1938 November Pogrom, held at Toronto’s Beth Tzedec synagogue on 9 November.

The Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, and the Honourable John Baird, Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with the Honourable Tim Uppal, Minister of State (Multiculturalism), announced on 12 May that the design "Landscape of Loss, Memory and Survival" presented by Team Lord of Toronto has been selected for the future National Holocaust Monument, which will be located in Ottawa.
As part of Jewish Heritage Month in Ontario, Canada the Sarah and Chaim Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre partnered with the Toronto Jewish Film Festival and the Centre for Jewish Studies (University of Toronto) to present its annual Student Symposia on the Holocaust.
The annual Yom Hashoah commemoration was held on Sunday, April 27 at 7:30 pm at the Congregation Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem in Montreal.
