On 5 October the IHRA Chair, Ambassador Mihnea Constantinescu, and IHRA Executive Secretary, Dr Kathrin Meyer, are participating in high level political meetings in Warsaw, Poland.
The day will begin with meetings at the Chancellery of the President and the Institute of National Remembrance and will be followed by visits to the Ministry of Education, Foreign Affairs and Culture and National Heritage. In addition to the political meetings, the IHRA delegation will have the opportunity to visit the POLIN Museum and meet Director Dariusz Stola.
The IHRA delegation also consists of a member of IHRA's Education Working Group, Alex Maws, who is part of the UK delegation to the IHRA and is Director of Education at the Holocaust Educational Trust.
IHRA Member Countries are all committed to the Stockholm Declaration in which they state their readiness to strengthen efforts to promote education, remembrance and research about the Holocaust. Poland has been an IHRA Member Country since 1999.
