The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, David Cameron, visited Yad Vashem on 12 March.
On 12 January 2014 a 12-day seminar for South Korean educators opened at the International School for Holocaust Studies of Yad Vashem.
The "Keeping The Memory Alive" Poster Design Competition is a joint project supported by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) between Yad Vashem (coordinators), in cooperation with the London Jewish Cultural Centre, United Kingdom, the European Shoah Legacy Institute, Czech Republic, the 2014 Canadian IHRA Chairmanship, and the Holocaust and United Nations Outreach Programme.
On 30 July the President of the Republic of Latvia Andris Bērziņš and President of the State of Israel Shimon Peres opened a memorial to one of Latvia’s most notable rescuers of Jews during World War II, Žanis Lipke.
On 1 August Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė together with President Shimon Peres of Israel, who is currently on a state visit to Lithuania, honored the memory of the victims of the Holocaust at the Paneriai Memorial.
On Thursday, 13 June 2013 the new Permanent Exhibition "Shoah" in Block 27 at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum will open in the presence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage Bogdan Zdrojewski, Chairman of the Yad Vashem Directorate and Exhibition Curator Avner Shalev, Chairman of the Yad Vashem Council Rabbi Israel Meir Lau, Director of the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum Piotr Cywinski, Israeli and Polish officials and Holocaust survivors.
On June 2, Yad Vashem, the Education and Teacher Training Agency of the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports signed a memorandum of understanding.
The fourth international conference of the Global Forum for Combating Antisemitism is taking place in Jerusalem from 28-30 May.
