In the framework of the Hungarian Chairmanship of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Albania and the Embassy of Hungary, in cooperation with the Embassy of Israel in Tirana, organized a conference entitled "The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance -achievements and its role today. "

From 1-2 March a conference on the genocide of the Roma was co-organised by the Hungarian IHRA Chairmanship and held in Budapest at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
On 3 March, the IHRA Chair attended meetings in the Vatican, accompanied by the IHRA Executive Secretary, Dr Kathrin Meyer, the Advisor to the IHRA, Professor Steven Katz, and by the Head of the Romanian Delegation to the IHRA, Ambassador Razvan Rusu.
