IHRA delegate honoured

IHRA delegate Martina Maschke has been awarded the highest decoration of the Federation of Austrian Jewish Communities for her engagement and success in developing and advancing Holocaust education in Austria.

IHRA Executive Secretary, Dr Kathrin Meyer, commented: "we are delighted to see Martina being recognized for her important contribution to ensure that the memory of the Holocaust is never forgotten. We are very lucky to have her as a colleague and committee chair within the IHRA and look forward to continuing to work closely with Martina with a view to effecting lasting change on an international level.

Martina Maschke has been a member of the Austrian delegation to the IHRA since 2002 and works for the Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture. She is currently the Chair of IHRA's Committee on the Genocide of the Roma.
