The conference 'Holocaust in the Nordic Countries – Research, Education, Remembrance' will take place on 19-20 October at the Danish Institute for International Studies.
The conference will be held as part of the Association of Holocaust Organizations yearly meetings and is organized in collaboration with the Living History Forum (Sweden), the Center for Studies of Holocaust and Religious Minorities (Norway) and the Falstad Center (Norway). The conference will focus on current historical research and educational practices. On 21 October conference participants will have the opportunity to visit the small coastal town of Gilleleje from where the boats rescuing Danish Jewry sailed out in October 1943.
The IHRA Chair, Szabolcs Takács, and the IHRA Executive Secretary, Dr Kathrin Meyer are both in attendance.
