Braunau Contemporary History Days Conference Held in Austria

The 20th annual Braunau Contemporary History Days Conference ("20. Braunauer Zeitgeschichte-Tage") will take place in Braunau am Inn, Austria from 23-25 September 2011.

The 2011 theme is "Difficult Legacy" ("Schwieriges Erbe").

The conference program is available in German and English.  Speakers at this year's conference include Albert Feiber, Edith Raim, Peter Steinbach, Branko Lustig, Sindaco Giorgio Frassineti, Ludwig Laher, Barbara Prammer, and Stanislaw Meducki.  A full list of speakers can be found via this link.

The Society for Contemporary History is headquartered in Braunau am Inn and was founded in 1993. Its job is to further the awareness of history by organizing its own events, and also through the participation in events which serve similar aims.
