Wendy Lower is Professor of History at Claremont McKenna College. Until 2012 she was Research Director of “German Witnesses to War and its Aftermath”, a joint research project of the Oral History Department of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum and the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. An expert on the Holocaust in Ukraine, her publications include “Nazi Empire Building and the Holocaust in Ukraine” (2005), “Shoah in Ukraine: History, Testimony, Memorialization” (co-editor, 2008), as well as “Hitler’s Furies. German Women in the Nazi Killing Fields” (2013). She prepared the annotated edition of “The Diary of Samuel Golfard and the Holocaust in Galicia” (2011), and is co-editor of “Dapim – Studies on the Holocaust”.
