Dieckmann, Christoph

Christoph Dieckmann is a researcher at Fritz Bauer Institute (Frankfurt am Main). He was Lecturer in Modern European History at Keele University until 2014. Among numerous publications on Nazi concentration camps, ghettos, hunger policy, and collaboration his major two volume study “Deutsche Besatzungspolitik in Litauen 1941-44” (2011) stands out. Ongoing research for the International Commission for the Evaluation of the Crimes of the Nazi and Soviet Occupation Regimes in Lithuania resulted in “Murders of Prisoners of War and of Civilian Population in Lithuania 1941-1944” (2005, with Vytautas Toleikis and Rimantas Zizas), and “The Persecution and Mass Murder of Lithuanian Jews during Summer and Fall of 1941” (2006, with Saulius Sužiedėlis).
