The international conference "Public History of the Holocaust – Historical Research in the Digital Age" will take place on 9 July 2013 in the Jewish Museum Berlin.
The conference is funded by the German Ministry of Research and Education and co-organized by German and European projects that enable the digital transformation of humanities research. Its aim is to critically evaluate the potential of the involvement of the public in digital history approaches and of historians in the creation of a digital public space.
The conference will focus on Holocaust research and present the impact of existing projects in the field. Speakers and panelists include high-level political representatives as well as researchers and collections holders from a range of academic and non-academic institutions.
