From 13 to 16 May, the seminar 'Balkan, Holocaust and Jews' was held in Zagreb and Jasenovac for 45 educators from Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The main organiser was Mémorial de la Shoah, in co-operation with Jasenovac Memorial Site, the Croatian Education and Teacher’s Training Agency, and Ministry of Education of Serbia, with financial support from the European Commission and Claims Conference. Bruno Boyer, as a representative of the Mémorial de la Shoah, opened the seminar in the presence of the official representatives of involved countries or institutions, including the Ambassador of France, representaitves of the European Commmision, representatives of the Goethe institute, officials from the Croatian Ministry of Culture, Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sport, and Serbian Ministry of Education, and director of the Croatian Education and Teacher’s Training Agency. Workshops and lectures were held by Croatian and international experts, with the aim of exchanging experiences and improving the quality of teaching in the field of the Holocaust education.
