The Aladdin Project, in coordination with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and with the support of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) is organizing an international seminar in Istanbul on 23-24 October 2013.
The seminar will bring together senior officials, representatives of international organizations, academics and educators from Europe, the Middle East, the United States, Israel and North Africa to discuss the existing programs of Holocaust education and strategies for introducing such programs for the first time in different countries.
The Istanbul seminar is the first of five regional conferences that will be held in the course of the next year in Baku, Azerbaijan (for the Caucasus and Southern Russia), Astana, Kazakhstan (for Central Asia, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan), Dakar, Senegal (for West Africa) and Rabat, Morocco (for North Africa and the Middle East).
