On December 16, 2010, the ITF Plenary hosted a live videoconference from Haifa, Israel, alongside students and faculty at the Free University of Amsterdam. Professor Dina Porat , academic advisor to the ITF, presented a lecture on the topic "Dealing with the Past" in which she recounted the Yitzchak Wittenberg affair in the Vilna Ghetto in 1943 and addressed how each of the groups involved they remember this past today. She also added important lessons from the story that we can learn today. |
