Holocaust Memorial Days

20.01.2014

The Steering Committee on Holocaust Memorial Days under IHRA’s Multi-Year Work Plan has prepared an overview of Holocaust Remembrance Days in IHRA member countries.

This overview seeks to consolidate a comprehensive list of the various remembrance days observed in IHRA’s 31 members.

IHRA’s focus on remembrance days stems from the Stockholm Declaration, by which member countries agreed to “share a commitment to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust and to honour those who stood against it. We will encourage appropriate forms of Holocaust remembrance, including an annual Day of Holocaust Remembrance, in our countries.”
