Deadline today: Professional Development

07.12.2016

The Holocaust Educational Trust is pleased to invite applications for their annual Teacher Study Visit to Berlin, Germany, an advanced level site-based Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course.

The course will take place from 13-16 February 2017 and the application deadline is Tuesday 13 December 2016

The Teacher Study Visit to Berlin is an advanced training programme that focuses on the richness and complexity of the history of the Holocaust. The visit is based around a series of key Holocaust related sites in and around Berlin. These on-site sessions will be academically rigorous and interactive, incorporating testimonies, images, primary source documents, poetry and other stimuli that challenge you to discuss and critically evaluate issues regarding Holocaust education – both in the classroom and at authentic sites.

The course will take place over four days and three nights in Berlin. Educational sessions will be delivered by members of the Holocaust Educational Trust education team and by Jeremy Leigh, author of Holocaust Sites in Germany, Poland & Austria.
