“Portugal and the Holocaust” Conference Held in Lisbon

The "Portugal and the Holocaust" conference is being held on 29-30 October 2012 at the Calouste Gulbenkian's Foundation in Lisbon, Portugal.

The conference's goal is to increase the body of academic knowledge, promote an understanding of the Holocaust and Portugal's role during that period, and to support Holocaust education in Portugal.

This conference brings together leading American, Portuguese, and other European specialists, scholars, and educators in the field.

There are also a number of public events taking place on 29 October for those not attending the conference.  These include:
