Rita Ottervik, the Mayor of Trondheim, Norway, gave a speech to the ITF on the occasion of the opening of the ITF Plenary session on 3 December 2009.
In this international conference, located at the Falstad Memorial in the surroundings of the former SS-Camp Falstad, experts from the Task Force and other institutions gather to discuss contemporary challenges and experiences in Holocaust-related memorial sites and museums.
Professor Yehuda Bauer, Israel, was awarded the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit by His Majesty King Harald the Fifth of Norway during the meetings of the Holocaust Task Force (ITF) in Oslo 22 - 25 June 2009.
In his opening speech to the plenary (Oslo, 24 June 2009), Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonas Gahr Støre urges the ITF to put combating Holocaust Denial and anti-Semitism on its agenda.
