A commemoration was held on Sunday, 17 April at the Jasenovac Memorial Centre as a tribute to the victims of the concentration camp during World War II.
On the 13th April 2011 the Embassy of the State of Israel and the President of the Austrian Parliament Barbara Prammer organized ihe posthumous honoring of the Austrian parish priest Balthasar Linsinger as “Righteous Among the Nations” in the Austrian Parliament building in Vienna.
A new website, operated by the Mémorial de la Shoah and the Société Nationale des Chemins de fer français (SNCF; French National Railway Corporation), aims to assist Holocaust survivors living abroad with French compensation and restitution procedures.

Last month an agreement was signed between the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Authority and the archives of the Ukrainian KGB.
The President of the European Central Bank Jean-Claud Trichet unveiled last week the winning design for an upcoming Holocaust memorial at its new headquarters in Frankfurt.
