The Memorial Foundation was established in 1965 to help assure a creative future for Jewish life throughout the world. Established as a living memorial to the six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust. Through the grants it awards, the Foundation encourages Jewish scholarship, Jewish education and Jewish cultural creativity; supports communities that are struggling to maintain their Jewish identity and makes possible the training of Jewish men and women for professional careers in communal service in Jewish deprived communities
