The last weeks before the Plenary are full with conference calls with the Executive Secretary, Heads of Delegation and a number of visits. One that I have been looking forward to was my visit to Ukraine early October.
Yom Hashoah Commemorated in Israel

Yom Hashoah, or Holocaust Remembrance Day, is Israel's official commemoration for the six million Jews killed during the Holocaust. Yom Hashoah is commemorated on 8 April this year.

Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney announced today that former Member of Parliament Mario Silva will chair the Task Force for International Cooperation on Holocaust Education, Remembrance and Research (ITF) during the 2013 Canadian Chairmanship.
